Cornerstone Community Foundation, founded by Pastor Wayne and Dr. Patricia Lott, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering our community through education, health, and creativity. Our mission began in 2001 with the adoption of a local school, providing essential items to students living below the poverty line. This initiative grew into a year-long commitment to holistic well-being and community support.
With Wayne’s military background and Patricia’s extensive ties to the military, they focused on supporting veterans. Patricia dedicated one day a week to assist homeless veterans with food, clothing, and cell phone support, expanding their outreach to the broader homeless community through the Sack Attack program.
Their efforts also led to the creation of a homework club for local children, fostering educational support. Guided by the belief that we must link up to lift up, and in collaboration with their adult children and church board, they formally established Cornerstone Community Foundation. We strive to be the cornerstone of positive change, inspiring lifelong learning and creating a lasting impact in our community.

For the past 50-plus years I have connected and contributed to my community – foster parent, adoptive advocate, pastor’s wife, founder, and former CEO of the 1st (and thus far only) African American child placement agency in the State of Washington, religious and civic leader, and school/community-active mother of 14 children and 50 plus grandchildren. As a result, I am conscious of initiatives that can make a difference in the society in which we live. The “CCF Full STEAM Ahead” program by the Cornerstone Community Foundation is an initiative that has received my attention, and committed endorsement.
The CCF Full STEAM Ahead program is transformative in the realm of education. It goes beyond the traditional approach to learning by combining science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), in a way that is engaging, fun, and most importantly effective.
What sets this program apart is its obligation to inclusivity and diversity. Every child, regardless of their background or learning style, is encouraged to explore, create, and learn by utilizing the opportunities provided. Whether it’s the afterschool program, summer camps, weekend classes or open maker space. “CCF Full STEAM” is equipping students with knowledge and skills, and empowering them to be the innovators, creators, and leaders of tomorrow.
I encourage you to support the CCF Full STEAM Ahead program. I endorse this work and state to you – let’s move FORWARD together with our future, our children, in mind.

I am writing to express my wholehearted support for the Cornerstone Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that aspires to be instrumental in empowering their community through education, health, and creativity.
The Foundation’s mission to foster holistic well-being, inspire lifelong learning, and create a positive impact aligns perfectly with the city’s values and goals. Their initiatives, such as the C-COM Full STEAM Ahead, and CCF Cares Pantry, have already made significant contributions to our community.
Their future initiatives, including the establishment of the CCF Veteran’s Village the Cornerstone Cherubs which is a 24-hour childcare facility for those who work shift work in our community, Empoweru and LiteraCafe, promise to further enhance the quality of life for residents. These initiatives not only address immediate needs but also provide long-term solutions by promoting sustainable practices and fostering a love for lifelong learning.
I am confident that with continued support and collaboration, the Cornerstone Community Foundation will make a lasting impact on the community. I urge all stakeholders to join me in endorsing and supporting this remarkable organization.
Thank you for considering my endorsement. Please feel free to contact me if you need further information or clarification.
Sincerely,
Councilman Lawrence C. Boles
